In terms of OM//Order No Z15025/117/2017/DIR/CGHS/EHS issued by MOH&FW, New Delhi Revised guidelines issued for simplification of referral system under CGHS: (1) Referral for consultation with specialist empanelled hospital(same hospital)/CGHS shall be valid for 30 days and up to 3 consultations.(2) Referral shall be valid for consultation with maximum of 3 different specialist if required during a single visit..(3) Advise of the CGHS MO/Specialist for listed investigation shall be valid for 30 days, however, for listed treatment procedure it would be valid for 3 months.(4) Any listed investigation advised by the specialist of empanelled hospital if required urgently as a medical emergency and certified as such , may be undertaken at the same hospital |

In terms of OM//Order No Z15025/35/2019/DIR/CGHS/CGHS(P) issued by MOH&FW, New Delhi, CGHS beneficiaries aged 75 and above shall be permitted to seek direct OPD consultation from Specialists of private hospitals empanelled under CGHS without referral from CGHS wellness Centre any investigations/procedures are advised and are required in emergency, no other authorization is required however in non emergency conditions approval of competent authority is required if any non listed investigations/procedures are advised. Prescribed medicines should be procured from CGHS wellness centre. |

Every wellness center should have one Advisory Committee consisting of 2 members from pensioners welfare association and 2 from service association for a term of two years except CMO Incharge who shall approach for this purpose. |

Such constituted Committee will meet every 2nd Saturday of the month to 1)Open the complaint box and study the grievances/suggestions found in the box and record in the register.2) If need arises, call the complainant in the next meeting to sort out the grievances of the beneficiaries. |

The Committee will suggest ways and means to improve the functioning of the dispensaries within the available resources |
